The Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, while providing water to millions of people in the San Francisco Bay Area, also provides visitors with access to spectacular beauty and the wilderness of Yosemite National Park. Many hiking trails begin from O’Shaughnessy Dam and some of Hetch Hetchy’s most beautiful features are easily seen from the top of the dam.

This path is swampy, again, and difficult to find.

Excellent trail from the dam. Although I didn't get to see the falls because A) it had dried up from what I was told; and B) some campers with their tents near the falls

Note: you must have a wilderness permit to stay the night at this campground. 3 May 2013 The trail rolls up and down, with not much elevation gain until you reach Rancheria. I had Rancheria Falls completely to myself earlier this week.
